![]() I just bought a 200w one and it hasn't arrived yet, but after reading many threads elsewhere about these things blowing up, I am hesitant to put it into my tank now.
Does anybody have experience or knowledge about these heaters? They are quite expensive... but I don't want it blowing up in my reef. http://www.reefsupplies.ca/online-st...ater-200W.html |

![]() I stick with ebo-jager heaters. In 15 years I have never had one blow up in tank.

![]() Jagers are not made in the same place they used to be. They are not as good IMO as they used to be. The Cobalts, never had a problem with them. They are the best heater we have used/sold hands down.

![]() Of all the heater failure threads I've read, Jaggers have never been brought up that I have seen. 'nuff info for my shopping needs.
I'll stick with my Ebos, regardless of where they're made now. And for extra security, I keep them at the water mark (not submerged). Other brands may have 'fixed' their issues after failures, but I'm not interested in a product that had a 'trial run' at our expense. |
