New 5 Gallon Nano - First Time Reefer
This is my 5 gallon nano tank currently around 3 months old. There are 5 snails, 1 tiny mushroom, and 1 zoa frag in the tank at the moment. I'm using a 25 watt Cobalt Neo-Therm heater, a Hydor 180gph circulation pump, a Fluval Sea Nano Halo Pro led light, and a Marina Slim Filter S20 with one chamber of base rock, one chamber phosphate filter foam padding, and two chambers of carbon filter foam padding.
Changes and/or additions I plan on doing include: replacing one of the carbon filter pads with a diy algae scrubber, upgrading my light to an AI Prime, Digital ReefKeeper Lite controller and possibly adding another circulation pump. Of course I plan on adding many more corals and an Orchid Dotty back fish |

Looks good.
I doubt you need a RKL. Seems overkill for a small tank. Are you going to stay skimmerless? Or just keep up with lots of water changes.

The RKL is more for the convenience since it's located in the bedroom. I also forgot I'm definitely going to be getting an ATO. I haven't actually done a water change in about 3 or 4 weeks. I check my levels every Sunday (will be checked later today) and so far they've been good. I will be keeping an eye on it though as more corals get added because I know the need for water changes may become extreme.
