XR15w - latest release from EcoTech Marine
Check out the information for EcoTech Marine's latest light! Perfect for nanos and as a compliment to the XR30's! The XR15wPRO comes with Wide Angle TIR Optics installed standard so the spread from one cluster is not much less than the spread from two clusters located inches apart on an XR30. What is different however is the PAR at the same % output. You will achieve less PAR with an XR15wPRO versus an an XR30 model. The XR15wPRO is ideal for the many commercially available shallow tanks or where PAR at depth is not necessary.

Hmm... What about 3 of these across a 4 foot tank instead of 2 xr30? Might be more even spread and slightly cheaper.

I'm seriously considering 2 of these above my 65 gal now. SPS will be up high anyways.

That would definitely get you a larger spread and some overlap from the fixtures. As long as you don't have a cross-brace on the tank. With the wide angle lenses the XR30's reach almost 36" too. Love the versatility that this new fixture will give to hobbiests - and stores
