Led bleaching rock and coral
Installed a retrofit led kit on my 29 biocube 6 months back. Lately Iv noticed the corals becoming really washed out. I run the lights from 12 to 930. Led consist of cool white and royal blue, all cree LEDs.
Any suggestions? Do I just turn down the intensity and shorten the lighting period? Thanks in advance Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

If you have the option to dim the leds.
Leds pack a lot of direct light. Start off lower and slowly increase over the next 6 weeks. |

If you installed the lights 6 months ago and are only seeing the problem now something else could be causing the loss of colour. Has anything else changed recently? What are your parameters? Maybe something is off there.
