![]() Currently I have the new Fluval marine and reef full spectrum leds, I want to get an Anemone for my 35G. Should I change my lighting for a higher intensity leds? If so what do you recomend.
Im currently running a 25G sump with 0 phosphates, nitrates and ammonia. Ph is 8 and temperature is 79-80 degrees. My tank has been running for about 6 months. Salinity is 1.025 with an ATO working. I have some gsp and green mushrooms in my tank. Thank you. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

![]() Which model of light specifically, i.e. how many LEDs and watts? 46 watts appears to be the highest power Fluval marine full spectrum that I could find on the web. That's a bit on the low side for a BTA I would think. Having said that, in my 77 gallon Hagen tank I had my BTA under a Hagen Glo 36" T5HO 2 lamp fixture for quite a few months until increasing the light intensity substantially. It did ok, but didn't really thrive. Once I added a couple of 250 watt MH lights, it was clearly doing way better. Now, after a couple of years under 27 multi chip 10 watt LEDs, it's doing famously. So that's over 200 watts as opposed to the most powerful Fluval Marine at 46 watts.

![]() Hmm, 25 watts of LEDs, 24 inch light. Pretty sure that's not going to cut it for a bubble tip anemone in a 35 gallon tank. How tall is the tank? I'm afraid that even with that light very close to the water, those LEDs won't have the intensity you need to keep a BTA healthy. Plenty of higher power choices out there or if you're handy you could go DIY. Link to my build using 10 watt emitters is below.
