![]() About a week ago I bough a new rbta. He is looking healthy, eatting well and my clown just recently hosted it.
He is about 5-6 inches in diameter during the day with tenticles around 3 inches long. However, my concern is at night the bubble tip contracts to a tiny size. Maybe 2 inches and the tenticles are only 1 inch long. The contraction will happen over a span of 1 hour once my white lights is turn off. And in the morning he would expand again. Is this normal behaviour ? Especially to that extreme. |

![]() Perfectly normal behavior. They do it all the time and not necessarily in keeping with any light cycle etc. Sometimes they ball right up tight and then within an hour or two it's like nothing happened.
Can't explain it, I just know it's normal.

![]() my bubble normally shrinks at night ..... and re-inflates during the day....
sometimes when its expelling waist it will also shrink up.... and sometimes randomly it will also just shrink up..... when anemones shrink up and barf out their guts (invert their insides) - then 'start to worry & watch'.... but again sometimes that is also normal... |

![]() Normal behaviour, my thoughts on it is a type of water change.

![]() Mine shrinks completely at night, and by the time I wake up it is inflated. Since I am also new to the BTA world, I thought something was wrong and did a bunch of research. What I could tell is that they could be either expelling waste, or refreshing the water inside them. As people above have said, it appears to be normal behaviour.
