Ok ok, so I only read this thread today. All jokes and sentiments aside, Alberta will most likely never separate from Canada, because of the many reasons listed above. I think that Canada, with e exception of a few select provinces IS going down the crapper. As a born and raised Albertan and patriot of Canada I'd like to see Alberta help the rest of the country. There are two ways to do it.
a) Elect Ralph as the next priminister
b) Move the capitol to Calgary

But then he might have to do something. I know a lot of you are fans of the drunken journalist turned drunken cover story, but really, he has the easiest job in politics. The province he is supposed to make the decisions for has more money than it can spend, an upwardly mobile business and resident population, and no matter how rude he gets that's just written off as "straight-shootin western pride"! In fact, we should! I'd love to see politicians get paid what the regular civic employee does, maybe get some people working for us that want to do the job and not get the glory!
