Why dont you build a small tank from glass yourself? It would be quite cheap.

Your right, I could build one that size for next to nothing.
Something about those rounded corners and that slick little stand though...

Yeah the round corners are nice, you could always go to industrial paint and plastics and have them bend you some acrylic, heck they could even build the whole thing for you but it might be a little more expensive then the cheapos at walmart. Mass production, cant compete with that.

Don't forget the 5500k 50w halogen light... Well the halogen light part is cheap - have yet to find the 5300k MR16 bulbs anywhere but wholesalers (with minimum 1000pc orders) That's the ugly part.
