Default FishTankProjects - 6' Shallow Reef Project

Just set it up so let you know soon! I did manage to spill a bunch of food by not having the lid on flush and most get sucked up by the pump and scattered thought the tanks so it should work. Worst case I'll use a little pipe to force it to drop directly into intake

Took a few updates pics

great build!

question about the light mount...
do you think there would be a way to make the height adjustable on the fly?
moving the arm up and down...
some sort of sliding mechanism, manual or remote?

I like the idea for lighting a peninsula tank, but would need it adjustable for access and maintenance.

Sure could. I almost went that route.. i was going to use linear bearings and a 12v linear actuator to raise and lower it with a button.. but after installing it was able to get all my rock in and move around with out the light being an issue so in ever bothers

Thanks Etaloche. I appreciate the feedback! It's good motivation to keep the updates coming. I have been stocking up on frags for months with intentions of this build

The build is lots of fun! I'm sure I can continue to find new ways to automate and add on haha. Next project will likely be a Kalk stirrer. I have slowly been stocking up on parts
