Performance tires

Can anyone recommend a good performance tire? Old tires are goodyears, only lasted 30,000+/- kms and my boyfriend won't put them back on my car this year, slicks is an understatement....lol. I've got a quote for coopers, these are an all season which would help extend the life of my snow tires, stay on longer in the fall, back on earlier in the spring. I don't have much of a choice regarding tires because of my rim size.

+1 30000km is nothing
I have Wranglers with 75000k on them, and the guys at the shop still pass them as "great". lots of tread still

You guys are lucky, I only get about 8-10k, off my summer tires, so 1 or 2 summers if I'm lucky

I think with tires (like anything) you get what you pay for. buy the cheap ones and you will replace often, spend the xtra $ and you should get more. if you have a good alignment in you wheels and dont drive like a 16 year old boy picking up chicks, you should be able to get 50,000k easy imo

I'm trying to find pricing on the ones I have and it looks like these tires are $494 a piece. The dealer and tire shop told me they were a good tire but that's all I would get out them. I'm not looking to cheap out but I don't want to spend $2000 on tires that will last 3 years max. It's not a high end sport car but I'd still like some performance. Hankook and continentals were also recommended.

1010tires.com is the Canadian version of Tire Rack. They also have a good amount of reviews and selection. All prices are in CDN as they are in Vancouver. I saved almost $200 on a set of Blizzaks last fall and I will use them again. I like buying local but not at a huge premium.

I run Toyo Tires on my car and will be putting them on my truck this summer. I put the tires on in 2002 after the factory tires wore out but I also put winter tires on every year. I won't buy anything else and I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for.

We have all-season and winter tires for our '10 Camaro and '78 Chev P/U.
I'll be the first one to tell you about summer and winter tires over all-seasons, but ....

We have Michelin Harmony tires on our '90 Olds front wheel drive and it goes through snow/rain/dry weather without a hitch. Now mind you, we only ever put it through no more than 6-8" of snow, but they are great/inexpensive tires for an all-season that we leave on all year and the wife ran that car for 20 years without snows. Even when we had over 2' of snow.

My vote goes to Michelin Harmony tires. Inexpensive, quiet, loooooong tread wear and enough performance for any low HP vehicle.
