I keep mine at 1.026. I have had no problems or issues.
This is a silly question tho. If my SG is 1.026, wouldn't the other elements and minerals in my saltwater be a little higher(like calcium and magnesium)than say if I used a 1.024 SG? Hard to say in all honesty. 1.024-1.026 seems to be the general rule for sure tho.
