Em, my BTA has a bunch of acro frags sharing it's tank, and on occasion it takes a "walk" across them. No damage so far. In light of this, I think just being in close proximity wouldn't cause this tissue loss. However, better safe than acro-less might be a prudent plan

My current BTA stays put.....thank goodness..... The maroons discard any frags placed nearby... It's a left handed tank right now...

I do know a bta took out a birdsnest because I was not yet well informed enough to move it....

I agree with Brad to see what happens for a little bit. You never know as well if you have perhaps a small biological war going on in the tank and this coral could be more sensitive to it.

FWIW, yesterday my BTA decided to hang out behind my green cap, took out a good section of it pretty quickly before we dealt with it.
