When I first bought a 1/4HP for the now gone 125g, it ran religulously for 35-40 seconds every 4 mins. Not good for the pump. I changed the hysterisis from the factory setting of 2 degrees to 3. Then it ran maybe once an hour for about 3-5 mins.
