Very impressive specs on this one , look at the air intake () more then Bubble King @ only 38Watts !+ silencer. if design proves to be effective this going to be a very nice skimmer.
i guess two red dragon pumps is what makes it a good one.

Alpha Kone 300 Specifications
Footprint: Forthcoming
Height: 25.75"
Base Diameter: 12.75" - Neck Diameter: 6.25"
Air Flow/Energy Consumption: 2500 lph @ 38W
Aquarium Size: Rated up to 600 gallons

Bubble king rated 2500 (!!!???) gallons?

Bubble King has less air mixing with higher power consumtion. I wonder why, are they using same pumps?

This Skimmer requires a fairly large sump.

The foot print can be configured 3 different ways.

21 x 18
24 x 18
24 x 17

it is 27" high
and it requires 8 1/2" of water in the sump to be truly silent

My sump is 27 x 39 1/2" with an opening of 21 x 21"

I can barely get my ZEOvit reactor in with the skimmer

Official specs are as follows:

A300
Footprint 23.5" x 18" OR 24" x 16.5" OR 21" x 18"
Height 27"
Base Plate 13.75" - Neck 6.375"
1400 - 1800 LPH Air to 3000 LPH Water @ 38W (x 2)
Rated to 600 gallons

The SM250 is rated to max 800 gallons off less air/water, but has a superior reaction chamber design.

OK so I did go over last night. Looks like a killer Skimmer. Nothing less for a Royal Executive skimmer and it is built like a RE. Great buy Tom
