I've also been looking online to see if I can find salt water fish stores to check out but didnt come across anything. Thought I could find some cheap drygoods or equipment, lol.

Things i want to do so far:
  • eat tons of sushi and ramen, haha.
  • visit a mountain side natural hot spring
  • check out playstation HQ
  • electronics shopping (hear there is a central spot for it)
  • maybe a sumo match?
  • Check out a few temples
  • Check out the aquariums (I guess there are 4 in Tokyo)

Not many ideas so far but thought you guys that have been there can help out.

Thanks,
I spent 3 hours being awed at what you can buy in vending machines...

LOL! The vending machines are awesome. I wish they had them here! Where else in the world can you get a hot bowl of noodles and an iced coffee in a back alley at 4:00 in the morning

haha... awesome.

I hear cart food is the best, and a must checkout in the back alleys near train stations, lol. Not the most sanitary, but i hear its really good. Ill have to get a tazer or something for the "wrong" alleys i wander into, haha.. /cross fingers

I found Tokyo to be very clean and safe, even the alleyways. That's actually where I found some of the best little yakitori joints.

  • Shopping
    - Harajuku (Designer Goods)
    - Shinjaku (good shopping & also has lots of 'local' bars. Funny Japanese 'fashionistas' often found hanging around this area)
    - Shibuya (Trendy fashion District)
  • Electronics
    - Akihabara (ask around for 'local' stores which will have knock offs & bootlegs
  • Fake Designer Goods
    - Ueno (Ameyoko)
  • Where the tourists/foreigners hang out
    - Roppongi (if you get home sick & want to meet Westerners)
  • Cool Urban Island with shopping, malls, Sega park, eats & drinks...
    - Odaibu
  • For the kiddies (especially when it's raining as it's all in doors)
    - Sanrio Puroland

I 2nd the food & stores found in Alleys. It's where the locals go & always pretty safe.

Although, some 'local' bars & clubs wont allow white people in them.
