Thanks so much for all your kind words. As far as what happened I'm not really sure. I got a really high PH reading one day and by the end of the day the tank was full of a brown algae. Took a couple of days to bring the PH back down and a few longer to control the algae, but by then it was to late. And for an up date I lost one of my female seahorses that I've had for a couple of yrs after the start of my post.
