Hi Titus, I took the baffle out in favour of a 6" piece of 1.5" PVC and 45*. The bubbles coming out of the beckett were hitting the baffle and breaking thus forming larger bubbles which were making a mess in the mixing column.

Congrats on the new setup!

Question: In the plumbing picture there appear to be two different lines. The more prominent line, the one with the union to a capped off piece, what is that? Is that a closed-loop intake perhaps? What's with the cap, is that your priming access maybe?

Looks good Troy. Great pics. :D

Tony,

The larger plumbing is the ampmaster3000 closed loop. As for the capped off piece, you hit it right on the head. Priming access.

FYI That closed loop is so quiet I aked Troy to turn it on for the pics. He said "It is on". It it THAT quiet.

I'm thinking two powder blues and an achilles to cycle and then a couple of orange spotted file fish and a clown butterfly. That's it, I want to keep the bioload light .

Truly though, I'm probably going to get a pair of either ocellaris or perculas and after that play it by ear. I'm really curious about having a group of Pomacentrus spp. damsel fish and maybe a mated pair of Fridman's dottybacks but don't know how those two species would do together. Maybe I should make up a stocking list and let y'all voice opinions and experiences.

As for the invert list, I am still leaning towards branching large polyped corals. We'll see what is available.

Holy cow where do I begin. Have you ever heard that saying that Christmas is coming too? Well I think we had a couple pass us during the set up. Is the tank that tall or are you that short? ;) :D
Looks great though.

Scott

Hello,

Interesting. I ran the CS-2 and the Bullet-2 side by side and the CS-2 generated less of the larger bubbles with less turbulence at the surface. My guess is that the water is new, or your hands were in the system, or food was dispensed thus causing a breakdown in water tension. How long have you been running the system with the baffle?

Hi ya Titus, truly I didn't give it much of a chance with the baffle, it seems to be breaking in and is working really well. In your view, where would you set the height of water?
