Don't the MPs have feed pause where they click occasionally so as to scare out fish ? That's my my tunze's do during feed pause and it works quite well. It's when I completely turn off the pumps for maintenance or taking tank pics that's the problem. Although it's not really a problem anymore since I no longer have any blennies

My Vortech's are the only place in the tank that large accumulations of certain types of algae grow because it's the only place where the herbivores can't get to it. I don't have any fish that like to perch in them, but I do have a whole bunch of turbo snails that seem to have death wishes. I lost an MP40 impeller to a mexican turbo snail that crawled inside the pump housing to graze while I had everything turned off for maintenance that I didn't see when I turned it all back on. The turbo snail was unfazed, but one of the impeller blades was cracked right in half. I thought my glass was cracking it made such a loud noise!

Thumbs up Red Mini Carpet (Stitchodactyla Tapetum - S. Tapetum) Hitchiker.....

I found this in my archives. I found it amusing that this S. Tapetum anemone 'hitchhiked' on the shell/back of a snail for the better portion of a week. I found the pair everywhere in my display. Hard to miss with a literal red target on your back Enjoy.
