Lots of things influence SPS color - body pigments, polyps, corallites, all of it. Mainly lighting, flow, water column nutrients, and nutrition.

Usually dark brown means either high nutrients in the water column or not enough light (or poor quality light). Light brown may mean the Acro isn't getting enough nutrition.
