Plug ins and modifications for the forum suggestion

Here's what I setup as the thread prefixes in a buy/sell forum for the forum I run. The bold colours really help identify what people are offering.

The problem is, they didn't come back to post Sold, they aren't coming back to choose a Sold pre-fix. Just the way it is. Not sure, PM the poster.

As for reviews, I can say I've had 3 reports of bad transactions in 15 years. I've had more issues with erroneous review posts made by people over misunderstandings. So, kinda hard to pick the poison there

Ya, it would if it worked. But we have so many people that come here and sign up just to sell something, get the money and never come back. So it still doesn't work if they don't come back to mark it sold, regardless of mechanism. Even regular members forget to go back and post. So if they forgot to do one thing, they'll forget to do the other.

But I do think there is a feature already in place for prefixes, maybe Warren can bring that up with Titus.

I think it's something the team can discuss anyway, even if it doesn't get used the way you'd like As I said, I think it's already setup, just needs to be turned on. Warren can run it by the boss and see where it's at.

I think Brad has pretty much summed up the historical reasons. The prefix act was something we tried before but failed to materialize due also to the reason Brad mentioned.

There are things we are working on however to improve on the very long term to make the overall experience (ie not necessarily implementing the specifics mentioned on this thread) better for most people.
