Then found that the glass case around the led is shattered.

Ow, $60 for a 10 watt moonlight? Sorry, too late, but for that money I could DIY 20 moonlights using waterproof LED 5050 SMD strips, some aluminum angle stock & a 12 volt wall wort.

Something weird about canreef at the moment, can't seem to get the photo insert icon to work, but here are links pasted directly into response window.

The Fishstreet version comes with a controller that is programmed to simulate the 28 day lunar cycle. You would have to add the cost of a controller into the DIY version if you want the same features.

The cost of the unit itself was 25.00
