![]() How do I kill this stuff? I've Tryed blackouts, rubbing alcohol, freshwater, fire, it doesn't die. Just turns more red. How the hell do I get rid of it??? My soft coral tank has one rock full of it.

![]() Take the rock out and bleach it (or vinegar bath if you're scared of bleach), or learn to live with it. I haven't found anything that eats it, and it lives off fumes I think (haha). That stuff is terrible, and really difficult to remove manually. It seems to eventually cycle out after some months, but really it is a pain in the butt.

![]() I had a batch of it in my 20gallon for a while. It didn't really take anything over or kill anything. However, after a year or so of running the tank, it eventually died off itself...

![]() Slime remover won't kill turf algae. Slime remover is just an antibiotic - for cyanobacteria.

![]() I can live with it, it's not really all that bad. I have found that peroxide somewhat works, but the rock has been dipped 5 times and maybe 10% of the algae has turned white. I read on another forum that urchins will destroy it. Along with all the frags as well
