![]() I'm using rock that's been dry for about 6 months. I've got it curing in a tub of SW with a bunch of live stuff, and a heater and power head. I'm adding food and phosphate remover.
I think that's good, but until I get it in a tank full of fish with some lights on it, I can't say for sure how well it's going to work. Adding directly and trying to set the tank up with it is almost a for sure recipe for algae problems.

![]() Further, for a 14g tank, I'd use about 7 pounds of rock. For that amount, I'd avoid the trouble altogether and buy fresh rock.
