It's basically the same as PPM I guess. I'm thinking a combination of running carbon hard & switching to RO/DI is what needs to be done here .

Yeah try that for sure. Just watch for brown jelly buildup on your LPS and monitor closely.
But running RO/DI won't hurt. However sticking to tapwater is playing with fire. We have a high chlorine content in our water. Removing some of it with RO/DI is just eliminating one more thing to worry about.
