![]() I run a 250 10k bulb on just a regular old magnetic ballast.Usually flashes up in about 10 seconds. If the bulb is running for awhile and I have to unplug,it has to cool down(the ballast)before it'll start again.

![]() I was running an Aqualine 10000K 175W bulb on a M57, cap and coil ballast. It used to take three tries over a period of more than half an hour to light. Then one day I came home and the light was not on. As you might guess I am now waiting for a new ballast to arrive.

![]() What would cause a bulb not to fire up? I hooked two 175w bulbs to two M57 ballasts... sometimes when I plug them in, they fire up, sometimes they light up for a little bit, then shut off. Did I wire them incorrectly?

![]() A thought occurs... I had the ballast and cap sitting on a piece of aluminum (a sheet, not the foil). Now that I've taken the ballasts and cap off of the sheet, it works. Guess I won't be putting these things on the aluminum
