![]() Lower salinity is harder on corals than higher salinity.
Try to keep the salinity around 35 to 38 ppt. Much variance beyond that and the coral will spend a lot of it's energy maintaining it's internal ionic balance. If the coral spends too much energy maintaining that balance, it will die.
