![]() Well, my Pearlscales first ridded my tank of aiptasia 3 years ago, and continue to keep them free of these pests. And they don't bother my corals. Plus they are a nice looking fish, and totally peaceful.
And I did have a CBB for 1.5 years too, before I got the Pearlscales. While I got him eating properly (incl dried foods), he didn't make a dent with the aiptasia.

![]() Well my dwarf lion got a expensive meal , I fed him a lot last night until he couldn't eat no more . Bought the largest peppermint I could find twice the size of my fire . And he was running around with half him sticking out . I don't see him today . Half tempted to put the lion in the sump for a while :/

![]() You may not need to take your tank down Paul, if you keep searching there are ways people have gotten rid of them. I've had success using Aptasia X using a syringe, others have used kalk paste (same as Aptasia X), or peppermint shrimp, or copper band butterflies, there are other ways too.
There was a poll recently on what methods people have used and whether they had success or not. They're unsightly, spread rapidly, and can sting corals so they're not an ideal pest to have, but don't be discouraged. They can be beat |

![]() Don't tear your tank appart,I think everyone has had aptasia one time or another,I just started using aiptasia rx by blue life with great results,it comes with a nice small applicator, just add a ml or 2 on top of the aiptasia and dead as a doornail, mine are almost gone now.I have softies sps and lps it has had no negative affects on my corals.
