![]() I have two Mp40's on a 40g breeder tank that are dialled down to ~10-15% and running in anti-sync. Makes great random flow and is silent. I will be using ~5 Mp40's on my 270g. Albeit dialed up.

![]() Yah MP40s are serious work horses. They're like Boeing 737s. They can be used in almost any application.
Only thing I'd suggest (and this is true of any internal powered) is to be aware of the backdraft that they create. they suck water up from the sides, bottom and surface, creating laminar flows opposite to the direction they're pushing water. If you put one right next to something like an overflow box this can create acceleration of the water that does weird things to coral growth forms. The best place to put them is where they've got as little restriction on either side of them as possible. |

![]() Personally I'd get the WP40s instead. I've had to have 3 of the Vortechs replaced on warranty. You can buy 3 of the Jeabos for the price of one MP40. Vortechs are great with all the options but far too noisy. Unfortunately with my new build they won't work for me so I traded them for Tunzes.
