![]() Same reasoning as Denny, the lights were amazing for my SPS and zoas but just are not tolerating when it comes to LPS. Even @ an intensity of 35% bleaching still occurred. |

Wow, bleaching at 35% ??? I keep hearing of people having to run their LEDs at 50% or lower. I understand why this may be necessary, but it still boggles my mind, especially after all the threads about, "is there enough light in LEDs ??" Clearly, even in the cheapest LEDs there must be enough light ? I guess I don't understand why LEDs are bleaching corals when halides crank out more wattage ? This may not be the best place to discuss that though. Maybe I'll ask it in the "is there enough light in LEDs" thread. |

![]() I run 6 AI Sol over my tank at 100% and everything does well. Even the LPS on the bottom (euphylia sp.)

![]() don't mean to hijack - but I've been having a hell of a time with my LPS with Vertex Illuminas over a 18" deep tank at 52% - overall health is suffering, and considered going back to my T5's with some ATI's. My nano tank on the other hand with a PAR33 bulb is a life saver. Any corals that are diminishing in health I drop in there, and overnight they transform.
