| It would be OK, for those 1.5" fish, but for a 4" fish, anything you can do to make it a little bigger would be better. 15-20g if you can.

| Yup everything that goes in my tank get quarantined. I quarantine for 14 days, 7 with chloroquine phosphate, and then 7 days of observation. It's all done in a 15g tank with a hob filter, heater and bubbler. |

| I QT all new fish using the hypo method. http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2007/6/fish Not only for disease prevention but gives them a strong head start before going into the display tank.

| I may have typed something out long ago, but I use 20mg/l in tank, no carbon, no rock. After 7 days I change 50% water with new water containing 10mg/l. Lights off, it's photosensitive.

Also turn off UV if you use it. General consensus is 40mg/gal for prophylactic QT or 80mg/gal for treatment of active ich/brook/velvet. 20mg/l is about 75mg/gal for those that like mixing units |
