![]() Yeah I think so. I was going to put him in my sump but I don't think I could get him out again without great effort. The front pincers were jet black and very long and pointy. Eyes are hidden and there are very small bristles on the shell.

![]() If the claws are pointed, it's bad news. If the tips of its claws are flat it's an algae/detritus eater. If you're unsure, sump it.

![]() Yeah his claws are very pointy and I'm sure the ID as a rock crab was right. He's in a bucket at the moment but will go into the sump as soon as I get home. He can keep the sump clean for me.
