a pair radion pros for the display and 4 bulb tek light t5HO for the frag tank , the frag tank is 72 x 20 x 14"h and the light is pretty much 6" awl

honestly the colors in my display are horrid, drab and makes me puke....i think im done with leds by them selves, and am looking into the ati hybrid as a replacement.

Yah I have never seen colours on a tank that come anywhere close to what you seem to be able to get with T5s. I'm trying to find it in the thread, but do the systems share the same water? A little part in the back of my mind had always wondered if the differences I see in my tank compared to some T5 tanks was because of a the nutrient regime, but if you've got two frags of the same species, one under T5s, one under LEDs, but sharing the exact same water and you're seeing those kinds of differences... you're making a pretty compelling case for T5s lol.

no two different tanks not sharing water at all.

thats actually part my issue , display has fish and a regular source of pollution while the frag tank stays low nutrients and doesnt get any pollution added so i believe its a natural low nutrient without the use of carbon source

titus i agree growth is good under the leds but the colors make me sick lol:P

2 weeks actually :P

thanks buddy finally sps is doing good for me , my dislay kills or browns them out immediately , cant figure out why , my fragtank on the other hand is growing zoos at a rate ive never had before and sps is full color and growing fast , ive had my poker star montis encrust the plugs they are on in a week and go from a brown blob to the nice rainbow color they are now , within a few weeks they should be neon green only with a blue base

flow rate in the frag tank is:

7 x koralia 1400's
2 x koralia 1050's
mag 7 return pump

so lots of flow and lots of light , i also dont feed this tank.....no skimmer either ...au' natural but do run a fuge with cheato and lots of liverock

currently using zeovit amino acids
zeovit sponge power
zeovit coral vitalizer
