hey all,

i need to paint a couple stands. they ae made of wood.
any recommendations for type of paint?

the person at store said any outdoor latex would work.

main reason for painting is waterproofing.

thanks!

I've always used masonary paint first because its thick and it seals the wood. And the paint it with any paint or any color.

You can use whatever stain you want, but it is recommended that you put a good coating of poly over it to protect the wood.

just to clarify, the stand is wood, but not nice furniture wood.
as in i wont be staining it. no wood grain to show off or anything like that.

i just want to seal it up nice and good. and then throw on a coat of color.
probably black. lol
