There bristle worms for sure, some people think because they are not eye pleasing they should be removed from the tank. It's part of what's in the ocean and they help clean up trapped food and detris. I have them and they have never been a problem in my reef tank. I say leave them alone.

Hey! I never "LEFT" the hobby, just doing fresh water now. Which is still listed as part of Canreef if I'm not mistaken.
