Can you explain the difference in what is referred to as "marine water"? Ultimately the only difference I see in the specs is one of the red channels and the yellow channel is replaced with more white. Does this this alone actually result to more intensity or PAR? Or are there different reflectors/lenses being utilized to justify the deeper rating? My personal experience with the 6100 is the white channels don't run @ 100% compared to the blues for optimal color, not sure adding more white channels will be overly effective or worth an upgrade although I've never seen those particular white LEDs.

Yes there is a slight increase in PAR and a slight increase in Blue, but it is slight and so if you have a 6100 there is no real point in upgrading.
The only info I have on the specialized LED used is that "it does not come from the standard parts bin from Osram" The 6200 will become the default product. |

is there a reason the red was removed as opposed to the hyperred? if it's a more beneficial LED i might tweak my settings to favour the hyperred...

no its the opposite, red is very strong where is hyper blends. if you remove the hyper yo have nothing to tone down the main red.
