i really love the nice big colonies and the negative space as well. it's nice to be able to see all the way through the tank!

What size is that clam? Any top down pics of it ? Love the size of those corals!

Thanks Brett, I went crazy quite a few months back and gave away a ton of colonies and just got sick of the top heavy look and the corals shading corals below....etc.. And I remembered that I planned to have a valley in the middle but corals just grew to cover the valley, so I got rid of that too. I've been liking the negative space too.

It actually looks like you've swam out to a reef in the pacific somewhere, dropped a glass box on top of a section of it, and brought that home. Larger but fewer corals looks more natural somehow. I feel like the dozens of small colonies that younger tanks are made up of (including mine) is akin to reef bonsai, as though you're looking at the reef from 40 feet away in miniature.

I love this look.

This tank is even more epic in person. It's astonishing to see the size of the colonies, clams and rose bubble tip. As Asylumdown says, "reef porn".
