![]() I would be surprized if it doesn't break apart under it's own weight pulling it out of the tank. I got a basket ball size colony last spring that started breaking apart before it even reached the water's surface. That said you can rebuild it into a giant colony again in it's new home.

![]() Idea for removal: find a clean small bucket/tupperware thing and move it into that while it is still submerged in the tank, then remove it. That way it will always be supported by water.
