WTB: Euroreef Protein Skimmer

I may have a CS8-1 in the near future. Getting a bigger one.

The pumps seem to leak voltage, but I guess that is what a GFCI and ground probe are for.

Probably not. It must be remembered that fish in an aquarium are totally isolated from ground. Therefore a little stray voltage should do no harm as there is no path to ground. As an analogy I would offer a bird sitting on very high tension wires. They are not grounded, and come to no harm. Even the high magnetic flux around such wires do no harm to the birds. It seems to be another case of non founded/ non scientific mumbo jumbo. As always that is my opinion.

Actually, the ground probe is what trips the GFCI, it takes the voltage to ground. Unless of course you would like to do it with your body.

Obviously, you have not yet felt 24 volts from an ungrounded tank Bob.
