1yr old cap.
this cap started out as a full size colony...
when my tank crashed last mothers day i lost nearly all of it... i was able to save 1 frag about the size of a nickel... here it is today, about 7" across.

 Nice pic  Is that where my frag came from? Here's a pic of the frag that you gave me back in January, the upper flat rim is all new growth sorry for the hijack Shao

hey rich,
i havent fragged my green cap yet. i am too impressed by its natural growth form, i dont want to ruin it. i will selectively frag it in the future when it starts forming new plates. which it looks like it is beginning to do. the frag you have is from the first cap i ever had. excellent grower, and awesome whorling growth, hah, yours is almost a funnel!
