![]() I'm a little worried about this guy.
![]() My params are SpG 1.026 Temp 25.6C NO3 0 PO4 0.03 pH 8.2 Lights are 2 x 10,000K 250W DE halides over a 72 gal bow. Any suggestions on saving it? It has been in the tank two weeks and for most of the two weeks I've had a cyno outbreak. |

![]() not directly fed but I have seen it pulling mysis from the water every other day or so. Think I should target feed it?

![]() This has happened to me acouple of times, both resulting in the eventual demise of the coral. You should definitely spot feed it. Hopefully its not too late.

![]() I would target feed it (turkey baster/mysis). If it's out in direct light, I'd suggest putting it under an overhang or something to shade it a little, since you've upgraded your lighting recently I wonder if it could be related.

![]() Is this a new coral? Could be a reaction to new, stronger lights.

![]() too much light and not enough direct feeding is my vote also

![]() Ah yes I would have to agree 100% that it's getting too much light and not enough food
![]() Most LPS corals prefer a medium level of light and they won't complain about being target fed either! Also keep in mind that medium level light corals may need a lower level if you have strong lighting. I too, hope it's not too late.

![]() Thanks guys. I target fed it last night and will stick it under an overhang. It seemed to be eating last night so hopefully it will pull through.
It is a new to the tank coral and is under brand new bulbs so there could be an intensity issue. Jim |
