![]() My clownfish is eating pellets from a feeding ring. After he grabs some pellets floating on the surface he releases an air bubble from his mouth or, occasionally, his anus. Is this ok?

![]() Aren't the pellets supposed to be sinking ones anyway? Maybe they're too dry when it eats them. Personally, the odd time I feed pellets I 'throw' them downward into the water so they start sinking right away.

![]() Yes, he farts though he burps more often.
It take a day before they break the surface and sink (the NLS pellets are 6mo old kept in the fridge). If i release the pellets under water he catches a few and rest just end up on the sand. |

![]() Can't comment on the burping and farting
![]() I moisten the pellets under water for 10-30 seconds and then they sink when I drop them on the water I've tried the feeder ring idea in the past and found it to be a pain And, as was mentioned earlier by MKLKT, when I want them to sink now, I just throw them at the surface Last edited by gregzz4; 07-25-2012 at 02:10 AM. |
