Sunbrite Settings?
My 24" Sunbrite arrived on Tuesday in good shape. Seven days shipping from Montreal which is not bad at all.
I have just installed the lights and have been testing the settings. I have set all of the LEDs to 58%, except for the red which is at 0%. I have had a chronic issue with algae of all sorts, especially since I kept the previous Hallide and T5 way past their best before date. Will reducing the red LED help with algae? What settings are others finding works for their tank?

Red and green leds will promote algae growth, the red will have the greatest impact so yes it should help.

thanks sphelps. I will turn down the green as well.
The Sunbrite power pack has three buttons: - colour temperature - preset - reset There is no manual. Does anyone know what the buttons are for?

They are used for people who do not wish to use Iphone or Android. There are preset settings that you could use....but I suggest to ignor them and go mobile :-) Here is the manual http://www.sunbritelighting.com/SunBrite_F_Manual.pdf thanks Ray |

During my full light period, 8:00 am to 7m I have green and red set to 0%. All other colours are set to 58%. I am planning to raise the intensity slowly over a few weeks.
What have other Sunbrite users tweeked their settings to?

That's an awful long photo period.. Maybe cut it down for a bit?

Some will argue with me, but normal equatorial photo periods don't really relate to 22" deep tank if your using a long ramp up and ramp down then 11 hours isn't bad.. But if your running full force for that many hours it may be adding to our algae problem.
