![]() I was using IO without a problem (a bit of ca buildup over time), then I switched to H2Ocean and got the nasty red-brown film in my container and it spread to my sand bed, I then switched to Reefcrystals and now I'm back to the same as the regular IO.
I have a 20 gal mixing container, I add 4 cups of salt at a time and let it mix at least 1 hour before adding more. If you add the salt too fast the stuff will precipitate out.

![]() no such thing with reef crystal and I have been using it for 2 years. I tried Red Sea coral pro, H2O and a few others and I did not have very good result, especially with H2H and I still needed to dose so I returned to RC and it's the best for me so far.
