what do you mean skimmate? oil slick? foam?
did you mean Tunze 9002? If you're using a 9002 then A) that's way underpowered for your tank. B) It does not have a surface skimmer so protiens (oils from food etc) will naturally rise to the tank surface and make some lasting bubbles unless you have surface agitation.
