I thought there was such a thing as waterproof heatshrink? .. I'm not sure, I remember someone else mentioning that on the forum a few weeks ago though...

Cheap way to do it if you have some aquarium silicone handy... Put some where the heat shrink will go, slide the heat shrink over it and apply your heat. As the heat shrink shrinks the silicone oozes out a but and Bob's your uncle .
