![]() Because of my AIO compartment setup the cheato in my fuge collects a lot of detrius. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about rinsing the cheato ball under tap water.
I know this not ideal for a saltwater specimen but cheato seems pretty tough. Thoughts? |

![]() Depends if you care about washing all the pods and what not living in the chaeto out of it.
You will most likely wash it all off. Maybe just jiggle it in your sump and let the detritus sink to the bottom or into a net.

![]() It won't hurt the chaeto. I've rinsed mine in pails of freshwater with no I'll effects.
