Also called Chaetomorpha - can be bought in the US -
http://www.inlandaquatics.com/prod/tr_algae.html

Supposed to be good for Nitrogen export, and doesn't go wild through the main tank, apparently.

What kind of macroalgae do you like?
(I have only seen some bubble algae here at Safari - but I thought Valonia was a pest).

Actually, just did a google search and found this -
http://aquariacanada.com/osCommerce/...roducts_id=388

That might be worth a look - do you ever order from them?

John, I don't like macro alages, essentially because I have to remove buckets of the crap from every wet surface of my tank these days. I will never use it again.
For NO3 export, a good skimmer, a fair amount of live rock, and maybe a couple of inches of sugar sand will do wonders. I have no detectable NO3 in my tank, and never have.

I agree, I love it. I wouldnt use anything else. It just sort of sits there, and it is tightly entagled with itself, so it doesnt fly around.

I grabbed mine from Aquaria Canada, pretty sure he still has some =)
