![]() I have read a lot about it and browsed many RC threads on the subject. I'm not sure anyone knows if the foam is really inert enough to use in a reef tank. It looks cool but I'm still not entirely convinced. I may try a version of this with only Marco rock and silicone.

![]() I'm not sure if they ever 100% confirmed it was the foam but a Canadian reefer took his tank down because everything "Foamy" was growing so much hair algae that it caused him to tear it all down.
Just keep that in mind... |

![]() In researching this myself, a lot of other reefers have stated that the black pond foam is better to use than Great Stuff.
It will resist uv better and you can skip the epoxy coating. |
