I hear ya, just not looking to spend more then probably $250 or so. I might see what martin can offer in the DIY department too, or ask Ecoxotic how many modules or stunners would be ample

That one looks like a knock off marineland, lol not to be rude. anyone have any experience with the marineland lights? I havent heard anything great about them

They are OK as long as you do not have/want plants. It's low level lighting for most tanks (depending on the hight of the tank) but it does give a nice look to the tank. I got a this lamp for my planted nano tank http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aquarium-2-M...p2047675.l2557 and it has been running beautifully 24/7 for over a month and a half.
Growth rates are fantastic!

I just put a kessil A350w over my 55 corner bow front African cichlids tank. I tried the marine land led first, it wasn't too bad but wasn't really bright enough to make the fish colors "pop". The kessil is great.
