![]() will hot water damage a RO membrane?
i know water filters generally have an optimal temperature to operate at, but will hot water actually damage it? and yeah, the reason i am asking is cuz i just realized i had my RO/DI running with the hot water, instead of the cold... ![]()

![]() I did the same thing recently, accidently ran hot water for over an hour and I thought the RO membrane was dead, the TDS reading was very high after the mishap, but after spending some time flushing and about 20 gallons later the membrane is back to normal, lucky me.

![]() too warm water equals burned out membrane ime.
I flush one minute for one hour of water produced btw. |
